120 Kalibaru residents receive free tuberculosis screening
One hundred and twenty Kalibaru residents have undergone free tuberculosis (TB) screening sessions organised by health authorities in North Jakarta.
Health Screening Initiative
The North Jakarta Health Sub-agency facilitated the medical outreach programme in collaboration with the Cilincing District Health Center. The initiative took place at the RW 14 Office to provide accessible diagnostic services to the local community.
Tuberculosis remains a significant public health focus, requiring consistent community-level intervention to ensure early detection and effective treatment. By bringing screening services directly to residential hubs like the RW 14 Office, health officials aim to identify asymptomatic cases and prevent further transmission within the district.
Community Outreach and Support
The screening programme targeted local residents to increase awareness of respiratory health and the importance of regular check-ups. Participants received professional medical assessments as part of the coordinated effort between the regional sub-agency and the district health centre.
Such localised efforts are designed to:
- Identify potential TB cases through clinical screening.
- Reduce the barriers to accessing medical diagnostics in North Jakarta.
- Strengthen the capacity of the Cilincing District Health Center to manage community health needs.
- Promote preventative health measures within the Kalibaru area.
Health authorities continue to implement these collaborative programmes to manage infectious disease risks across the metropolitan area through direct community engagement and mobile health services.
