Caribbean Public Health Challenges: PAHO Director Calls for Action

The Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Dr Jarbas Barbosa, has emphasized the urgent need to tackle public health challenges in the Caribbean and Latin America. Speaking at the 20th Public Health Research Congress 2025, hosted by the Mexican National Institute of Public Health (INSP), Dr Barbosa highlighted the importance of addressing regional health disparities and promoting health equity through collaborative research and innovation, ultimately improving public health outcomes and disease prevention in the region.
